Did I Shoot My Shot or What?
Most directors say that the hardest people to work with is your family, children, animals and water. I must have not got the memo because this is the premiere viewing of my baby niece Nevaeh Kewdy Labissere. Shes not the best actor but look at that smile.
This is an example of a high angle shot where the shot is above the subject or subjects. In this case my subject was very interested in why her aunt was holding a camera above her while standing on the bed.
This is an example of an extreme close up shot which is a magnified image of a part of the subject or an object. This is an extreme close up shot of Nevaeh's eyes and other parts o her face.
This is an example of a low angle shot which is a shot where the camera is angled look up at the subject. Nevaeh also got very excited about the flash of the camera so it also was a head on shot where the subject comes towards the camera.
This is an example of reaction shot which is a shot when the subject reacts to something going off camera. This is not the best reaction shot because I guess baby Nevaeh has no reaction to a loud popping balloon.
This is an examples of an over the shoulder shot where the shot shows the characters point of view but also shows part of the side of their body.
This is an example of a point of view shot where the shot looks like the subject's point of view. This is a video of me walking through my hall and closing the light. What really helps show this as a point of view is the camera showing me turning the switches on or off.
This is an example of two shots. It is a low angle shot because the camera is angled up towards the subject. Then it is a head on shot because the subject comes directly to the camera.
This shot is an example of a close up shot which is a shot an isolated part of an objected or subject. This video is of me typing on my laptop keyboard. Can you figure out what I typed?

ReplyDeleteI like your close up but it gives a stressful feeling because laptops remind me of school. Your extreme close up gives a happy feeling and your reaction shot gives a feeling of confusion.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the extreme close up because it made me feel happy and she is adorable. The point of view shot made me feel on edge when it got pitch black. And the eye level shot made me a bit worry when she launched herself at the camera.
